Interview session with Kogi State Political Activist
Comrade.Abdulslimzy Maiyaki

Q.Good morning sir Can we know you for the sake of those who don't know you
My name is Abdullahi Maiyaki. Popularly call "Abdulslimzy"

I'm a graduate of Depatment sociology, faculty of social science ayingba

Q2.its no Longer News that Kogi State University anyigba has been on strike for some months what is Your Student Union Government Doing about it?

As mentioned earlier on while introducing myself, I'm no longer a student of the institution anymore but it's our duty as a citizen of this great state to speak up when things are actually going back and that's why the S. U. G and NAKOSS under the leadership of The articulated President Shaibu Philip Omepa and Abdulmalik Abdulhadi and myself decide to collaborate and speak for the students who has spent more days at home than in their various class

Q3.As a major Frontier of the Reopen Ksu Campaign..To what extent have your Campaigned Go? Is there hopes that the Government would Reopen the schools in no distant time?
Yes, finally there is light at the end of the tunnel. The voice of the people is the voice of God and that voice was heard all over the world yesterday as virtually all the National dailies was on ground to cover and report the story..

Also, the commissioner of police promised to intervene in the crisis rocking the schools.. And few government officials that was present yesterday promised to resolved the crisis shortly
Q.report had it that 2 students were arrested By the DSS during yestidays campaign How True is This?
Actually in every struggle there are consequences it's either positive or negative.. Lucky enough for us, we got positive response yesterday but while speaking in voice there are officials of the Nigeria police force that arrested 3 members Of our group 1 female student from ksp and two male students from ksu.. But with the help of the National president of NAKOSS and the commissioner of police they were swiftly released after confirming their status as a bona-fide student of their various institutions
Q. It's everywhere that a protest would be held by 26th of April 2017 how True? And which body is organizing the campaign
I never knew about it until this morning, about the purported protest being scheduled to hold on 26th April 2017 which I no nothing about. I just want to inform the general public that I have no idea about the protest and both NAKOSS, S. U. G has decided to give the police commissioner benefit of doubt to swiftly intervene in the crisis rocking the state tertiary institutions hence there is a need for us to be patience.
Q.are you giv ing Your words to the student that schools would be reopen soon?
One thing is certain, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.. For now, let not give up on ourselves... The fight to Reopen our schools doesn't start and ends on the streets or social media platform...we must also roar like lions because our voice is the only thing we have left
Q.Any words of advice, aknownledgement to the student or institution
Arguably the students has wasted a semester at home already without doing nothing and such thing has negative effect on the students.. But I beg for their patience and indulgence to the rule of law that soonest things will be better and we can all go back to class.

I want to personal acknowledge the S. U. G PRESIDENT AND NAKOSS PRESIDENT for their supports all through the struggle.. He has reinstated his commitment to see that the students go back to class

The students should continue to pray for him and support him so that he can lead very well..
Comrade Abdulslimzy thanks for your time
You're always welcome.
God bless you
God bless the students
God bless kogi state
