Lagos—OFFICIALS of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have intercepted three hundred and twenty-five thousand, six hundred and forty euros (€325,640), thirty thousand dollars ($30,000), about N175 million smuggled from Greece and Austria at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMA2, Lagos. According to Head, Public Affairs, NDLEA, Mr Ofoyeju Mitchell,  the suspected laundered money concealed inside envelopes and shoes were seized during the inward screening of passengers on a Turkish airline flight.
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the smuggled currencies. NDLEA commander at the Lagos airport, Ahmadu Garba said that the money was found during routine search of passengers.
