REAL MADRID’S CRISTANO RONALDO BREAKS ANOTHER RECORD IN WORLD FOOTBALL
Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has broken another record in world football as he has now become the first player to score 50 or more goals, at club level, in 6 consecutive seasons.
The Portuguese forward has managed to score 35 goals in La Liga, so far this season and has been pivotal in Real Madrid’s success since signing for the club in 2009. However, during his time with the club, he has only ever won the La Liga title once and the Copa Del Rey twice.
Having said that, 3-time Ballon d’Or winner does have a Champions League winners medal to boast about during his time with Los Blancos.
His last six seasons with Real Madrid look like this:
2010/11 – 53 goals
2011/12 – 60 goals
2012/13 – 55 goals
2013/14 – 51 goals
2014/15 – 61 goals
2015/16 – 50 goals
Will he be crowned the 2016 Ballon D’or winner, or will the accolades be handed to Messi? We will have to wait and see!
