Bayelsa Decides:Voting commence as Timi Alaibe votes

Former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Timi Alaibe, cast his vote at his Igbainwari community in Kolokuma-Opokuma council area.

His accreditation took place an hour earlier at the polling unit 03 at Igbainwari community square Ward 7.
Timi Alaibe, who came out amidst cheers from his kinsmen, also inspected the conduct of the accreditation exercise in other units in its area which went on smoothly.
Okpoama – The accreditation of voters has started trickling at Brass Ward 4 which is in Okpoama with card reader unable to read some voters leading to filling of incidents forms.
The exercise at Unit 2, Ward 4 which started at 9am had only three successfully accredited voters after one hour.
Very few persons were at the St. Paul School I for the exercise, frustration is on the faces of those who have unsuccessfully passed fit by the card readers.
Despite the hiccup, the few persons who turned up are willing to wait patiently until they are successful.
The situation was however different at Unit 4, Ward 4 as there was a huge turnout both young and aged.
67 year old Mama Tuakuma Osobugha stated that they were eager to vote so they will to turn up promptly.
The atmosphere is peaceful as only few security officials were present as voters purport themselves in an orderly manner.
As at 10.39am when Vanguard visited aged persons sat on chairs waiting to be accredited, others wait patiently in canopies.
The exercise is generally peaceful in Okpoama, Timipre Silva, APC candidate’s hometown. More persons were trooping in at the time of this report
