‘A SOLDIER’S STORY’ IN CINEMAS
Chico Aligwekwe (of Classic FM 97.3 Lagos) who has found fame on the air waves, advertising his oratorical skill with the cliché, ‘Chico rocks’ may have unveiled a little known side of him, with his stellar performance as a scheming and corrupt army officer in the blood-cuddling movie, ‘A Soldier’s Story’.
The story revolves around a soldier who is left to die, but is rescued and nursed back to good health, but it takes a while for him to wrap his memory around what happened to him. In between time, all the twists that elicit emotions of love, treachery and violence are brought to play. And there-in lies the deft strokes of Frank Ogar who wrote and directed the movie.
‘A Soldier’s Story’ stars Tope Tedela, Linda Ejiofor, Adesua Etomi and Zainab Balogun. Other talented Nollywood acts who feature in the movie include Daniel K Daniel, Sambasa Nzeribe, Olumide Owuru and Baaj Adebule.
The premiere at Genesis Deluxe Cinema at The Palms in Victoria Island, Lagos attracted the entire cast and crew. A special attraction at the premiere was the outfit of the hostesses who were dressed in military cadet outfit.
